Illness had struck the bedridden young man a year ago. Depression set in and thoughts of suicide followed. He reflected on this as weeks passed, but the courage was not there. He concluded that no matter how devastating life was, death was the more devastating of the two.

Un giovane uomo ammalato costretto a letto da un anno e vinto dalla depressione, considerò il suicidio. L’idea lo tormentava da alcune settimane ma nonostante tutte le sofferenze gli mancava il coraggio. Alla fine capì che per quanto fosse ormai invivibile la vita, l’impeto della morte era stravolgente.
