Susan and Jenny were friends.  Unlike Jenny, Susan had lived abroad experiencing different things.  Her outlook was enriched, but she’d become critical, constantly comparing the cultures and being frequently nostalgic.  Jenny was the happier of the two because she knew only one lifestyle and therefore had  peace of mind.

Susan aveva vissuto diversi anni all’estero mentre l’amica Jenny era sempre rimasta nella città natia.  Benché arricchita dai suoi viaggi Susan era scontenta. Aveva vissuto una vita diversa, aveva tanta nostalgia e voleva sempre conoscere dell’altro. Jenny invece era infinitamente più serena perchè viveva una vita semplice.
